FEDeRATED Working Group on goverance and Legal

The FEDeRATED Consortium meeting decided on 28 May 2021 to start a working group on Governance and Legal Affairs under the guidance of Puertos del Estado, .

For Governance the focus is on defining the roles and responsibilties of the members as well as defining the decision-making mechanisms. For the legal issues, the focus is to establish the applicable legislative framework with an international and European perspective and to analyse how it affects the development and implementation of a federative platform.

It has been proposed that five types of Governance be considered, namely:

  • Institutional Governance
  • Platform Governance
  • Service Governance
  • Security
  • Technical Governance

In addition the study will consider developing an incentive model in order to try and maximize the use and benefits of the federative platforms.
